Best cat ever!
New Deck
This is the deck that we built this summer. It's a long story, but essentially we were forced into building the deck (and the fence too), because some jerks who said they were professionals were not, and didn't do their job. It was the beginning of summer, and of course no other contractors were available to do the job, so I ended up having to do it. Luckily I have some very generous friends who helped out and we got the job done.

Mexico

We just got back from a week in Playa del Carmen Mexico. What a great place. Mexico rules. Weather was perfect, food awesome, people amazing. Love it. Here are some random pics we took. Some good, some bad... you sort it out.

Aloe Reviews

I'm on a real Aloe Vera kick now that I've had some positive results with AMP (Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide). So much so that I created a website to amalgomate the knowledge that is floating around out there. There are several AMP products out there (nine that I came across), and there is ZERO regulation on them. So this site is an attempt at sorting that out, along with generating some discussion among users, and people with various afflictions that might benefit from it (Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Diabetes, Arthritis etc).
It's very early days, so the content is limited, and I have yet to actually get this link out there, as the real content will be from the discussion forums. Enjoy what's there though.

ps. if you saw it earlier, it looks more like a website today, as Kristine put her design touch to it.

Final Crap

Just bought a new vehicle and when we were at the dealership, the dude tried to sell us some rust protection called Final Coat. This is typical, and I was expecting it, but didn't have any idea what it was. Turns out it's this electronic gizmo that hooks up to the body of the vehicle. Then it emits a tiny charge throughout the frame. This is supposed to stop rust from forming on the metal.
They charge $1700 for this thing, and it comes with some warranty and coating on the paint etc. He offered it to us for $699 - his cost, he insisted (cause a lot of costs end conveniently with 99). So as a sucker, I said ok what the hell.
Got home, and looked it up. Found this link (which might expire cause it's on Ebay) :
If the link is dead, cause the auction is over, it was a lot of 12 of these things for $10US. No kidding!! I called the next day and had him cancel that from our invoice. To his credit, he did without pressuring me.
If you want to read why this gizmo doesn't work there is a good article here. You need to scroll down to Rust Bug Killer.
