With about 20 minutes of effort I was able to clip out some videos from a show we did at the El Mocombo in Toronto and post them on YouTube. The quality is not bad, but the audio is slightly out of sync. My next effort will be to shift the audio track so it maches up. It's posted now, so if you like check it out :
(This link goes to one of the songs, and the others should be listed there as well)

AMP Follow up.
I've been taking this AMP (aloe mucilaginous polysaccharide) for 5 days now and I am still shocked. Just to recap, I was having a Crohn's flare up that was fairly serious. I had severe cramping, bleeding and diarrhea. After taking AMP for one day, the bleeding and cramping stopped! Now 5 days later, I have no symptoms at all. I have been eating and sleeping regularily. Eating is the most incredible turn around. I've been eating just about everything and it's fine, no cramping or any ill effects.
Since I haven't been able to shut up about this stuff since it's started working, I found out that a friend's father had been on it for 2 years now (he has Colitis) and hasn't had a flare up since. Additionally, he noticed that when he started taking it, his arthritis disappeared! Not only that but cheques for $1,000 started appearing weekly in his mailbox, and he became irresistable to women.
I'm serious about the arthritis part though, and it makes sense, as AMP is apparently a very powerful anti-inflamatory.
Here are some details about AMP (extracted from here ) :
Danhof states that the Aloe Vera mucilaginous polysaccharide is a long chain sugar molecule composed of individual mannose and glucose sugar molecules connected together. There is a wide range in the size of the mucilaginous polysaccharide molecule, and their size determines their healing properties. These large molecules are immune modulating, and have a very powerful healing effect on AIDS, Cancer, and many other immune system disorders. This large molecule also causes the body to produce a natural chemical tumor necrosis factor that functions to shut off the blood supply to tumors.
Illustrating the wide range of healing applications of aloe, Danhof states that the small particles. 60-600 molecules reduce inflammation- which is involved in such diseases as ulcerative colitis, arthritis, and gastric reflux. The small particles also help with the reduction of blood sugar in Type I and II diabetes.
Medium sized particles, up to 1500 molecules, are very effective intracellular antioxidants and free radical scavengers. Whereas vitamins and minerals only have antioxidant properties outside the cells, aloe works within the cells to prevent and treat arteriosclerosis, heart disease, and Parkinson's disease. With the ever increasing pollution of the soil, the increase in free radicals and loss of cellular oxygen will only get worse over time. This makes Aloe Vera mucilaginous polysaccharides more important than ever.
Large sized particles, up to 5000 molecules have a direct antibacterial and anti viral effect. This is important with all the new infectious diseases cropping up and older ones becoming more virulent from long term use of antibiotics.

Crohn's Disease cure?
Ok the title is a bit much, but hopefully this gets read by someone and actually helps them out. I have Crohn's Disease, and am pretty lucky in that I don't suffer from it that often. I have suffered though, and am currently in the middle of a flare up.
Like most other victims I've been through the scopes, and various medications with poor results. The medical community has never impressed me, and with this particular affliction, you really have to take it upon yourself to do what you can to live with the symptoms.
In my search for respite I've come across two things that I want to have on record. First : AMP. This is Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide which is an extract from the Aloe Vera Plant. There are a number of companies putting out this supplement, I chose Gastric Gold, and I have to say that I have never been so shocked about ordering something off the internet. After the first day of taking it, all my abdominal cramping pain and blood disappeared. I still have diarrhea, but whatever... already it's far more than I could have hoped for.
I can't stress enough how well this worked. I had gone through a lot of pain and sleepless evenings while taking Salofalk, which seemed to help a little at first, and then do nothing for 10 days of taking it.
I am on my 3rd day of taking Gastric Gold and god damn it I still have no cramping or blood!!! I don't know that it works for everyone but it seems to have worked for me and I would have no problem pointing anyone in the direction of this product.
Secondly, I want to mention POT. No kidding, this is something that might be overlooked by a lot of people, but before I found AMP, I was smoking to relieve the cramping. It's a known fact that marijuana has anti-cramping properties, and it works immediately. I found much relief with it . The unfortunate side effect is the high that comes along with it, so you might not want to go to work, or do a whole lot of anything really, but it does do a lot for the pain.
The whole time I was smoking I was thinking what a crime it is for it to be illegal while it does so much for the pain of Crohn's. I realize this might not be for everyone, but if you are reading this and haven't tried it, there is something to think about.
I hope this helps ... take care.

Phantom Shifters
Yikes, I haven't posted anything since May 30th? This really doesn't count as a blog I guess, and I would have removed this link from any list I might have had.
Even so, here is something. Rather than creating material I'll link to someone elses...

Windows Registry knowledge
I stumbled across this little bit of knowledge in my desire to make playing MP3's easier in my house. We have a centralized computer dedicated to playing music, and we access it via Remote Desktop, but this can be slow to connect, and when you want to play something you don't wanna wait 30 seconds to connect to the machine and then select songs. So the idea was to add something to the Explorer Context menu that will run my own app to communicate to the remote machine and queue songs in Winamp.
This page learned me up good on something that is super simple, but super useful. If you don't wanna read it, I'll give you the gist. By adding a couple of registry keys in the right place, you can modify the Explorer Context menu. So if you modify the .MP3 extension you can add a menu item like "Play in Remote Winamp" and have it execute something that will do something useful (that's the fun part). But the free part of it is the "%1" arguement. Windows will forward along the file or files that you have selected in Explorer. This is a nice little bonus, and saves you from having to develop any UI.

Farmers need parking for tractors or something...

I haven't posted much on this thing, so thought I would since I have a couple of pictures, that are less than thrilling, but at least they are original.
I was walking around at lunch and ran straight into several hundred tractors parked end to end on Wellington in front of the Parliament Buildings. The Canadian farmers are protesting, or requesting, I'm not quiet sure. They want subsidising from the Federal Government.
Was quite a scene really...
